Collaborative Helps Build Affordable Housing Resources
Community Housing Fund Executive Director, Sheila Greenlaw-Fink, serves on the steering committee for Washington County Thrives—a cross-sector collaborative that works to reverse the rapid growth of poverty in Washington County by improving access to essential resources that help establish a foundation of long-term economic security.
The collaborative, co-convened by Community Action and the Vision Action Network, is focused on increasing support for proven strategies that break the cycle of poverty and strengthen economic vitality in the County. Three priority areas have been selected as having the greatest impact on poverty reduction: safe, stable and affordable housing, workforce development and early learning opportunities.
