| A pass-through grant of $25,000 from Nike® to the Luke-Dorf Corporation, a local nonprofit organization serving individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses, helped renovate this beautiful facility. The grant supported the conversion of the 1850 home into a 10-unit residential project for chronically homeless people with mental illness. In January 2007, the house was dedicated Garrett Lee Smith Safe Haven in honor of the late son of Oregon Senator and Mrs. Gordon Smith. This grant was matched by over $700,000 in federal grant dollars. | ||||

| A grant of $25,000 to Community Partners for Affordable Housing (CPAH), a Tigard-based nonprofit organization, supported the rehabilitation of 84 units of housing for low-income residents. Before the extensive rehabilitation, the property was an eye-sore for the community. Greenberg Oaks is now a lively community offering a variety of resident services and activities for children. Some $2.5 million, all raised for the project by the grantee organization, leveraged this grant. | ||||
