Funding Partners Make for Collaborative Contributions

The Fund's success in building a community asset is the result of collaborative contributions from the private sector, local government, business, faith organizations, and individuals who support our mission.

Over the last two years, the cities of Beaverton and Hillsboro have each allocated $1/resident/year to the Fund from their core budgets, totaling over $85,000 each. Similarly, the City of Tigard has committed $10,000/year to help lower the costs of housing development so that more people with low-incomes may be served. Washington County has contributed $100,000 annually since 2005 and was a founding partner of the Fund. Beaverton also made a $100,000 initial investment in 2004.

NIKE, Providence Health Care, and Central Bethany Development have stepped forward from the business community in making contributions of $25,000, $15,000, and $10,000 respectively. Our financial partners in the banking community have also made annual gifts to the Fund.

Meyer Memorial Trust, Oregon Community Foundation, and Spirit Mountain Community Fund have provided the financial support necessary to staff the Fund and launch its operation as an independent 501(c)3 corporation.

Countywide, more than two dozen churches of various denominations have made contributions to the Fund through the 100x$1,000 Campaign which asks 100 churches in the County to donate $1,000 to the CHF.
